Netflix’s The Witcher series will continue without Henry Cavill, but he won’t leave without the right to a deeply heroic finale.
After several weeks on the soap opera, Henry Cavill finally left the show The Witcher and was fired from DC. So he will not take on the witcher’s sword or the Superman cloak, but will put on the armor of the Space Marines from the next Warhammer 40K series.
But before that, we’ll find him for a final season of the series The Witcher before finally giving up his arms. A season 3 that already promises to be emotionally charged without even talking about the scenario itself. But let fans rest easy, if they will surely shed a tear in Cavill’s farewell, the guy will not leave without the right to his own finale. And according to the showrunners, it’s going to be heroic!
Season 3 of The Witcher series promises to be heartbreaking
It was showrunner Lauren Hissrich who told EW that the entire team on the series The Witcher was keen to celebrate the occasion for this final season with Henry Cavill. Against this background, the series will mark a real turning point in Geralt’s story, as if to close his personal arc and allow him to change interpreters under good conditions. In this Season 3, Hissrich reiterates that Geralt will do whatever it takes to join Ciri and protect him, even if he has to give up part of his personality. Geralt will therefore give up a part of himself, Henry Cavill, and return in season 4 completely changed. A highly heroic farewell, according to the showrunners.
The biggest change for Geralt is that he has to give up his neutrality and do whatever it takes to join Ciri. And for me it’s the most heroic goodbye we can say, even if it wasn’t written for it. Geralt has a new mission in mind when we find him again in season four. It will be a different Geralt than we expected.

And for once, that’s about to change, as Cavill will hand his place to Thor’s little brother, Liam Hemsworth, starting in Season 4. The latter is also red-hot and wants to amaze us as witches. It’s all the harm we wish him. But the succession could be tricky as Cavill left his mark on fans.
For now, we’re already waiting to see what Season 3 has in store for us. The Witcher which should be available on Netflix in the second half of 2023 if all goes well.
