With the Indie Box, the entire XboxSquad editorial team offers you mini reviews of very little known or featured indie games. While some don’t deserve to step out of the shadows of the Xbox Marketplace, others might be worth a look. That is the whole subject of this section.
Panda punch is a really rudimentary action/platformer. It definitely is the panda cute but awfully limited in motion! In his fight against robot invaders, he can only strike in front of himself and does not jump very high. Worse, only after 16 levels and defeating the first boss does he gain the “power” to lift wooden crates, which are also used to activate switches. Well, I didn’t have an urgent need for this revolutionary feature, but I’ve done a third of it Panda punch and getting that as a special ability is kind of creepy. By the way, during this time, about 30 minutes, I unlocked the door the 1000G without forcing.
I appreciated:
- The panda is cute
- User interface and dialogs available in French
- 1000G easy and fast
I am sorry :
- The limited gameplay, the panda just thrashes in front of itself…
- Not a big challenge
