In The Witcher: Blood Origin, Elfin Ithlinne makes a devastating prophecy that particularly affects Dandelion. We’ll tell you what it means.
- The Witcher: Blood Origin tells us a prophecy made by the elf Ithlinne about Dandelion and the future of the continent.
- Will Dandelion sing mankind’s last song?
- In addition, the bard learns who his ancestors are.
In The Witcher: Blood Origin, Dandelion is kidnapped from a bloody battlefield. The elf Seanchai (Minnie Driver) asks the bard to write a very special song about the seven companions who overthrew the empire during the golden age of elves and during the conjunction of the spheres.
Why should Dandelion write the song? We find out in the finale of “Blood Origin”. Because the bard Éile is expecting a child from Fjall, which they fathered shortly after his herb test. Éile visits Ithlinne, who is making a prophecy for her unborn child.
The time of the spheres is approaching. Aen Seidhe has lost and is lost in time. Will search forever, a lost love left behind. The seed of the lark sings the first note of the song that announces the end of all times…
Ithlinne’s Prophecy
Seanchai adds: “And one of their offspring will sing the last one.” So we learn that Dandelion is a direct descendant of Fjall and Éile, and a world-changing catastrophe is about to happen.
The Aen Seidhe are the elves who live on the continent. Since Eredin also belongs to the Aen Seidhe in “Blood Origin” and was sent to an unknown world by Balor through the monolith, it is possible that Ithlinne is speaking of him. After all, this is how he got separated from his lover. Netflix’s “The Witcher” could therefore be changed in such a way that the Wild Hunt, of which Eredin becomes the leader, only arises because he roams the worlds in search of his great love.
A somewhat cheesy backstory for the most dangerous villain in the Witcher universe. The third season of “The Witcher” will certainly tell us more.
