Something is moving again in Escape from Tarkov: The developers of Battlestate Games will release the new update 0.13 on December 28, 2022, which will bring the city map Streets of Tarkov, which has been eagerly awaited by fans. In addition, a wipe takes place, i.e. a reset of all player progress.

Neue Map Streets of Tarkov: The flagship of the update for Escape from Tarkov is the new map. Streets of Tarkov offers a fundamentally different gaming experience than most of the other maps in the hardcore shooter, with winding streets, a number of buildings you can walk through and, overall, little open terrain.
At first, only part of the map appears. As seen with other Escape from Tarkov maps, Streets of Tarkov will also be expanded in the future.

New weapons and equipment: Escape from Tarkov gets a number of new weapons, such as:
- Assault rifle Steyr AUG in the variants A1 and A3
- SR-2M submachine gun
- Glock 19x
- Revolver RSH-12
- GP-25 underbarrel grenade launcher for AK family weapons
- M203 underbarrel grenade launcher for AR-15 family weapons

Update 0.13 brings a wipe as expected. So all player progress will be reset so everyone can start on the same footing. These wipes are regularly a much-anticipated moment as casual gamers and newcomers can once again operate at eye level.
Patch 0.13 for EfT will be deployed to the servers at the time of this article’s publication. The game is therefore temporarily offline. There could also be problems after going live, we’ll have to wait and see.
