PC PC Best Games for Old announced the new refund policy today, and, uh, it's so kind. Maybe even and you are kind.
Here is the new policy, specific to GoG: “Starting now, you can get a full refund up to 30 days after buying the product, even if you download it, set it up, play it. That's all.”
That really kinda nuts, because 30 days a long time to play the game before allowing a refund. GoG says it's because "all parts of our store are designed with the characters in mind and your safety and purchase satisfaction comes first to us", and that "The recent renewal of our voluntary refund policy adds another dimension to this customer experience".
For anyone who is wondering if this is something they can take advantage of, it's not completely the "It" case. There it is print a good one to get your attention first:
We hope that you are making informed purchasing decisions and will apply this Voluntary Refund Policy only if something does not work out as expected.
This is why there is no limit but instead, we have the right to refuse refunds in each case.
Please always respect the hard work done in playing games and remember that refunds are not updates. If you've finished the game and don't like it, please consider sharing your opinion. Also, we ask that you do not take advantage of our trust by asking for unreasonable amounts of money to be returned. Don't be that person. Nobody likes that person.
