The so-called smart kitchen has great potential to make our lives easier; some of these smart devices help us with everyday cooking, like the smart air fryer we tried out not too long ago.

On the other hand, other devices focus on providing another kind of help, such as automatically ordering food from the refrigerator. This, and many other things, is what the new model presented by Samsung allows.
Samsung fridge screen
There are plenty of display fridges on the market already, and they’re no doubt very useful, but we haven’t seen one like the Family Hub Plus featured today. The built-in screen is so big you could almost say it’s the main device, and the fridge is what’s “glued” to the screen.
That’s understandable, because Samsung has a lot of experience making panels, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the 32-inch screen came from a computer monitor or a small TV, it’s so big. In fact, it takes up almost the entire width of one of the fridge’s two doors, and it’s tall enough to watch vertical TikTok videos better than on the TV. In fact, that’s one of the things we’ll be able to do, as Samsung promises access to a wide variety of apps, including Instagram and YouTube, as well as the Samsung TV Plus app which promises access to TV channels in some markets, and the Bespoke Atelier app that displays images as if they were a digital painting.
The screen on this fridge basically behaves like a very large tablet, and Samsung has added support for a whole host of services including Google Photos to be able to view our images directly on the fridge; although they are already compatible with Microsoft’s OneDrive.
With so many apps, you might forget you’re in the kitchen; although this does not mean that the main function of the refrigerator has been forgotten. The Family Hub Plus is compatible with SmartThings services, including SmartThings Cooking for recipe access. In addition, it should be noted that it is compatible with Amazon Your Essentials, a service for the automatic purchase of essential products with a simple touch of the screen; so if we realize that something has been spent, we only have to confirm your purchase so that it arrives at home.
The Samsung Family Hub Plus will be presented at CES 2023, where we will know more about its price and availability.
