The latest Japanese video game software and hardware charts have been released for the week of December 19, 2022 to December 25, 2022. The recently released Pokémon Scarlet & Violet games sold an additional 375,665 boxed copies ahead of Christmas. That’s not all as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold an additional 41,887 physical units, pushing the game past five million units sold (5,014,375) in the land of the rising sun. The best-selling hardware was once again the Nintendo Switch family of systems, although more stock arrived for Sony’s PlayStation 5 console, which sold an additional 69K units.
