Smartwatches are becoming more common and gradually becoming a status symbol, due to their high price; some models are also made of luxury materials, and there are people who wear a smartwatch even if they don’t take advantage of any of its functions.

As with traditional watches, some brands are betting on the premium sector, and wearing one of the new Apple Watches or a branded watch, for example, can serve as a fashion accessory.
The fake connected watch
In the Tama-kyu company, they came to the logical conclusion: to offer a way to have a smartwatch on the wrist, but which has none of the things that would make it “smart”; in fact, it doesn’t have any of the things that would make it “clock” either.
It seems like a weird idea, and maybe that’s why it comes from the land of the weird, Japan. His name is Stone Watch, and it’s clearly a parody, or version, of the Apple Watch; Not only does the promotional material use a similar style and font, but the product itself closely resembles the Apple Watch, both in strap and “watch” design.
As its name suggests, in fact the Stone Watch it’s a stone, something that sounds bad but we must remember that this is what the precious stones are that we already wear in our jewelry. Of course, the ones used by this accessory aren’t that special, being sold simply as “cool stones”, which have been polished to resemble the glass of smartwatch screens.
There’s not much more to say about the Stone Watch, because there’s nothing else. It is a stone that is worn on the wrist with a bracelet like a watch, which comes in five different colors for each situation or moment of the day: gray blue, canary yellow, ivory, sky green and coral pink.
If you’re wondering who would want to pay for a smartwatch that’s neither, its designer Takayuki Fukusawa told Dengeki Hobby that smartwatches are multifunctional but very expensive; it is quite possible that I like her look, but I don’t really want it. The Stone Watch is the solution to such a specific and typical problem of modern life.
At least, as its creator points out, it is very cheap. The Stone Watch will be sold through the typical “gacha” bullet machines; to 400 yen (less than 3 dollars) it will be possible to get one randomly, so the incentive will be to get all the colors. Unfortunately, this also means that we will have to go to one of the places in Japan to get it, unless a store imports them.
