Silent Hill will be back in action soon, and an unannounced game is already making a lot of noise. A first image and a few lines of its synopsis have just been unveiled.
Yesterday we told you about a new game silent Hill still unofficial, had been registered with a Taiwanese organization. Earlier this year, the same game was spotted in Korea this time. Later that evening yesterday, that Silent Hill: The Short Message leaked a first artwork and some info on its synopsis.
A new Silent Hill could well happen
Silent Hill: The Short Message would indeed be a kind of demo of the famous Silent Hill f normally set to take place in Japan in the 1960s, according to several insiders, the game codenamed Sakura leaked earlier this year.
Information that we pick up with tweezers but that makes our mouths water.
The freshly shared artwork is very reminiscent of another illustration published earlier this year, in which we could see a corridor full of little scraps of paper and a humanoid creature with a Japanese cherry tree head (yes, that’s how it was said…). Here, on the other hand, the illustration is much darker and scarier. We can make out the little scraps of paper on the walls, but the rest is pretty blurry.
It looks creepy
In addition to this first image, an introduction to the scenario was spotted on the Taiwanese side. After what has leaked out Silent Hill: The Short Message would feature a young woman trapped in an abandoned building where she is being hunted by multiple creatures, in addition to having to deal with her own trauma.
Anita goes to an abandoned apartment to find her friend Maya, only to find herself trapped inside. She must escape her own fears and the monsters that lurk in the hallways, uncover the truth behind the events that killed her, and attempt to escape before her own trauma shatters her will to survive.
2023 or the great return of horror games
It can’t yet be said if its information is true or not, and we don’t yet know if this is a new game or a prologue that serves as a demo for one of the biggest games already planned. . But the noose around Konami is gradually tightening. The publisher had also announced that there would be big surprises next year. So we can certainly imagine new revelations and completely new announcements.
Four games for now silent Hill have already been announced and are in development. Next year, Silent Hill 2 Remake is slated to hit PS5 and PC with blood and water while the first broadcasts of the interactive series Silent Hill Ascension stream. 2023 is all about Japanese survival horror. After so many years of absence we will not complain.
