Apple TV+ wanted to start the new year with one of the best announcements it could give. The service revealed first official look at the second season of ‘Foundation’, the most ambitious science fiction series in its entire catalog based on the books of Isaac Asimov. Apple confirmed this second season over a year ago.
The series continues to have the same poster: Jared Harris will play Hari Seldon, while Lee Pace will continue to be Brother Day. David S. Goyer is back as producer, so the style of the series shouldn’t change too much from what we’ve seen in the first season.
“If there is a war, we will win”
Apple also confirms new interpretative signatures in the series through a press release: Isabella Laughland, Kulvinder Ghir, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Ella-Rae Smith or even Dimitri Leonidas will appear in the new episodes of the series.
There is no official description of what happens in this second season, but in the trailer it is inferred that the characters continue their efforts to ensure the future of human civilization in the face of the precise prediction of its debacle. There is no specific date for the premiere, but the second season will start to be seen this summer.
