If you’ve already booked your day to see the Super Mario Bros. when it’s released in France, we’ll have to give it up because of a last-minute hiccup.
Super Mario Bros. the Movies is experiencing a bit of turbulence and changing plans, but only with us (obviously).
The Super Mario Bros movie won’t be on time
Super promising since the first trailer, Super Mario Bros. The movie should finally get fans’ hearts racing and sweep away the poor 1993 live-action adaptation. An Illumination production (Despicable Me, The Minions…) of course under the strict supervision of Nintendo.
Every clip so far has sold fans’ dreams, with one exception: Chris Pratt’s performance. The latter was taken down on the web with scathing comments such as “Chris Pratt practiced for months to make his voice sound like Chris Pratt. To cheer ! ». Hopefully the other cast members who didn’t make a big deal out of it are more convincing. In memory of:
- Chris PrattMario
- Anya Tailor-Joy: Peach
- Jack Black: Bowser
- Seth RogenDonkey Kong
- Charlie Day: Luigi
- Keegan-Michael Key: Toad
- Fred Armisen: Cranky Kong
- Kevin Michael Richardson: Kamek
- Sebastian Maniscalco: Great
The French dubbing of the Super Mario Bros. film is (partially) provided by:
- Pierre Tessier: Mario
- Christophe Lemoine: Bowser
- Donald Reignoux: Kamek
- Emmanuel Garijo: Toad
Unfortunately, you will have to wait a little longer to hear these well-known voices from France. The initial release on March 29th will be delayed Wednesday April 5, 2023. We’ve seen far worse!
