Wednesday: when does season 2 start?
Since “Wednesday” has just been extended, it will still be some time before filming on the new episodes can begin. Season 2 of “Wednesday” will therefore probably not start on Netflix until autumn 2024.
Wednesday: What’s happening in Season 2?
Although there are no concrete indications of a possible plot of season 2, the ending of “Wednesday” season 1 left some questions unanswered. Although it was shown how Tyler was taken into police custody and taken away, you can also see how he transforms into his Hyde form in the police car.
Of course, this could mean that the chains that bind him to the prisoner transport are broken and he escapes again. Could he still play a role in Wednesday’s life in the future? And does he come back as friend or foe?
Likewise, Ms. Thornhill’s fate remains open after the final episode. Will she return in season 2 with another murderous plan? The “Morning Song” cult, which has been mentioned several times, could turn out to be another danger. After all, Biancas has not only been tirelessly recruiting new members, but also bringing her daughter back.
In addition, it could also be exciting between Xavier and Wednesday. After Wednesday finally got over her initial reservations and suspicions about Xavier, the two could maybe even get closer in a sequel and possibly become a couple.
And of course there is also the mobile phone that Xavier sent to Wednesday in the last episode. On her way home to the Addams family’s sweet home, she receives ominous and also quite disturbing news. It seems Wednesday should be wary of a stalker now. But what does this mysterious person want from the Addams daughter? This mystery and more could be potential plots to be explored in Season 2 of “Wednesday.”
Wednesday Season 2: Cast and Production
While there is still no concrete information on the cast, it is quite possible that some familiar faces from Season 1 will return. At least it is certain that we will see Jenna Ortega again as the eponymous Wednesday.
Also starring are Victor Dorobant as Ice Cold Hands, Emma Myers as Enid, Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe, Luis Guzmán as Gomaz Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester .
Christina Ricci’s sneaky Ms. Thornhill may also make a comeback, as her evil plans were foiled in Season 1. Maybe she could try again in Season 2? Likewise, Hunter Doohan in his role as Tyler / murdering Hyde isn’t quite written off yet, as his final scene suggests.
However, the return of Gwendoline Christie in her role as headmistress Larissa Weems is unlikely. She was murdered by Laurel Gates at the end of season one. However, there may well be the possibility of resurrection in the “Addams” universe, which is why one should never be too sure.
Wednesday: Is there a trailer for season 2?
