After a few days of suspense, Netflix shuts down the rumors and gives its final answer on whether or not to renew the Wednesday series. Good news ?
The verdict on the continuation of the series Wednesday just fallen.
Will there be a season 2 on Wednesday? It’s a yes!
If you’re among the millions of viewers who watched and most importantly loved Wednesday, then Netflix has great news for you. Season 2 has finally been confirmed by the SVOD giant and don’t panic, no need to pay for a new subscription.
The showrunners, overflowing with ideas, are absolutely happy about this unsurprising result. In fact, Wednesday is the second most watched English series with more than 1.2 billion hours watched, behind Stranger Things.
It was amazing to create a series that was shared with people all over the world. We look forward to continuing the torturous journey into Season Two on Wednesday. We can’t wait to jump headfirst into another season and explore the whimsical and spooky world of Nevermore. We just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool before then.

What to expect from new episodes?
In Wednesday’s season 2, the showrunners want to further develop the characters and some relationships.
We want to explore and somehow complicate all relationships in the future. School was closed when they left, which gives us more options for season two, and I think that’s something we’d like to explore. For us, the series is also about this friendship between Wednesday and Enid, it’s central. We’d like to explore this aspect of Mercredi’s personality more closely now that she’s opened up to friendship. Then the other thing that would be really interesting would be to further explore the mother-daughter relationship between Wednesday and Morticia. How will their relationship develop after the events of Season 1?
