Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Release Date
Genshin Impact version 3.4 will be released on January 18th.
This gives you a little over a week to wrap up whatever you’re working on, whether it’s rolling over the current banner, or finishing the current content, before all the new stuff takes over.
Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Story Missions
In version 3.4 of Genshin Impact, you’ll venture deep into the desert in search of a legendary oasis, teeming with life in an otherwise barren and parched environment.
As part of this new quest, you’ll head to a new area of the world map – the desert, which features a giant tornado that occasionally blurs your vision, as well as a host of new world quests and areas to explore.
Genshin Impact version 3.4: Yaoyao
In Genshin Impact version 3.4 we’ll get two new Dendro characters to play with (if we’re lucky enough to get the Wish Banner). First up, we have Yaoyao, a four-star polearm user who’s perfect as a healing support for the rest of your party.
As part of the in-game toolkit, they are able to send cute bunnies into the world while fighting. Additionally, their basic skill allows them to shoot turnips, and more depending on how many bunnies are around you at the time.
Genshin Impact Version 3.4: Alhaitham
As for the new five-star character in version 3.4, we have Alhaitham! This character is a branch swordsman, and he should be very familiar to those who have understood the original god’s story by now.
Using dendritic mirrors, they are able to shoot countless dendritic swords that overwhelm their enemies with violent attacks. With their Elemental Burst, they can build a giant mirrored box, ricochet projectiles inside and dice enemies trapped inside.
Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Character Banner
Version 3.4 will have two banners that players can scroll. The first stage banner is where you can grab these new characters. The 4-star drop rate of Yaoyao as a banner star has been increased, while the drop rate of Alhaitham and Xiao as 5-star characters has been increased.
Both Hu Tao and Ye Lan were rated five stars in Phase 2 of 3.4, so you might want to save some rolls if you missed one of your beloved fighters.
Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Events
Since Patch 3.4 takes place during the Lantern Festival, there are plenty of related events that allow you to celebrate the upcoming year with Liyue’s cast of characters.
First off, Ganyu has a limited-time quest around the festival that, when completed, provides a host of rewards, including Primo gems, mora, and upgrade materials.
There’s also a brand new campaign based on Paper Theatre, where you control a paper character and navigate simple platforming levels in search of treasure chests and other prizes. By completing these levels, you can earn typical mora and raw gems.
Additionally, some returning Lantern Festival events are returning. There is a sailing challenge where you have a limited time to sail and collect coins. There’s also the radiant sparks event, a race event where you use fireworks to shoot your way through obstacles for coins and prizes. Finally, there’s your classic combat challenge where you have to destroy wave after wave of enemies within a limited time.
Completing these activities will boost a festival meter, and when it’s filled, you’ll earn a free 4-star character from the region, including the brand new Yaoyao in this version of the game.
In addition to the festival, version 3.4 has some other exciting events. This includes Beetle Battles, where you engage in 1v1 fighting game-style combat, and Spirit Duels, where you engage in a series of combat challenges that focus on parrying attacks.
Finally, there’s the Second Blooming battle challenge, where you assemble a team of characters to engage in challenging battles. Completing all of these will provide Lisa with a new outfit that will appear in the shop at a later date.
