iOS does not make Apple Music users happy!
The release of iOS 16.2 introduced a lot of improvements for iPhone users, but unfortunately not everything was good news. Despite the fact that the arrival of this OS update introduced new features such as Apple Music Sing, it was also evident in this application an annoying problem when listening to playlists.
As reported by users on the Reddid and Apple forums, the update to iOS 16.2 affects gapless playback for iPhone and iPad users. From this function, it is expected that the songs will be played one after the other without any kind of wait and that is precisely what has stopped happening.
An old and annoying problem
Forum users shared the issue, stating that between each song they wait for a moment of silencewhich is really annoying when the songs are supposed to flow together.
To these claims too HomePod users have joined. One claims he initially thought the problem might be related to a new HomeKit architecture update, but reading the comments assumes it’s an issue with iOS 16.2.
With curiosity, This isn’t the first time Apple Music has experienced this behavior.. According to 9to5Mac, this pre-production issue happened with iOS 15.4 last year and it’s finally solved. Therefore, this time the complaints went beyond the failure as such. And users have also pointed out Apple’s inability to support gapless playback on iPhone and iPad because as usual they will have until a future update to fix the current issue.
Unfortunately, the current situation isn’t addressed in the first beta of iOS 16.3, released to developers in mid-December, so the wait will be a bit longer than desired.
