We’re starting the year the way we want to continue here at igamesnews.com. After merging our UK and US editions into one global English edition of igamesnews last year, today we welcome the team of expert editors behind igamesnews España as we launch our first non-English language edition on our global site.
Our trio of Spanish writers, Alba Mora Antoja, Sara Piquer-Marti and Alfonso Casas, have over 30 years of editorial experience between them writing on Mac, iPhone, iPad and all things Apple.
Our new Spanish-language edition is aimed at Apple users in every corner of the Spanish-speaking world, from even USA to Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Costa Rica and beyond.
While we serve English and Spanish speakers around the world in this area, igamesnews also has a very strong presence in Germany and Sweden, with our international publishers working together more closely than ever. Together, we’re the most trusted and credible source of Apple product information on the web.
This move is another step forward in centralizing Foundry’s consumer editorial team, but it also reflects our recognition that physical location is far less important than the language spoken by our readers – particularly if the ‘we consider that we are now able to access and take advantage of the modern location-aware tools of our recently updated content management system.
For those of you who don’t speak Spanish, don’t panic: our Spanish content is not about to appear in your News Feed. Whether you see the English or Spanish edition will depend on where in the world you are browsing from and your browser language settings. If you want to take a look, click Spanish Edition in the menu at the top of the page or head to iGamesNews.com/es-es.
As always with a major code change like this, you might find bugs that have escaped our notice. Please contact me or igamesnews editor Michael Simon if you have any questions.
