Intel claims to have the fastest mobile processor in the world!
The calendar of events in the world of technology begins in January with the CES which takes place each year in Las Vegas. And it was precisely at this meeting where a few days ago Intel introduced its new generation of Intel Core processors which it claims have the fastest speed for the mobile market. Better than Apple? The technical specifications have spoken.
The new series is led by the flagship Intel Core i9-13980HX, a 24-core 5.6 GHz mobile chip. With this launch, Intel is tackling the most powerful processors in the industry. But it also shows that has all the ability to make those of the bitten applewhich currently counts TSMC as the primary and sole manufacturer of its silicon processors.
Intel strives to deliver the best chips
According to information shared by Intel, the 5.6 GHz turbo boost clock speed of the new chip Core i9 is the fastest mobile processor in December 2022. It delivers 11% faster single-threaded performance and 49% faster multitasking performance than the previous generation Intel Core i9-12900HK chip, which features eight performance cores, 16 efficient cores and 32 threads, as well as a socket support up to 128 GB of RAM.
The new Intel Core i9-13980HX processor from Intel could be faster than Apple’s silicon chipsbut it’s designed for power-hungry, performance-oriented laptops that they do not directly compete with Apple’s Mac lineup.
Last year, Intel made the same claims about the “fastest mobile processor” for the Intel Core i9-12900HK, comparing it to the M1 Max, but was overtaken by the M1 Ultra that Apple launched later that year. We would now have to wait for the launch of the M2 Pro, Max and Ultra chips which could better compete with the 2022 Intel Core i9-13980HX.
On the launch list, the 2022 Intel Core i9-13980HX comes with a more efficient 13th Gen P-series and U-series chipset with up to 14 cores that will be available for lighter laptops.
