Diablo 4: Trailer shows the war between heaven and hell and a release date
Lilith, who fights the angel Inarius in the trailer above, is supposed to appear as a big, if not the only villain in Diablo 4. So let’s list these two first:
- Lilith is the daughter of the demon prince Mephisto. Unlike him, she eventually grew tired of the eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell and believed there was a way to end it in her favor. She manipulated the angel Inarius
- Inarius was a subordinate of Archangel Tyrael. He was content with escaping to Sanctuary while Lilith wanted to use the nephalem to her advantage. When the discussion arose about snuffing out the mighty nephalem, since they were more powerful than their ancestors, Lilith slew most of the angels who had followed Inarius. He then banished her into the void. Later, after a battle, he was delivered to Hell and tortured there for a long time.
- Rathma is the son of Lilith and Inarius and the first nephalem. He goes against his parents’ goals and sabotages their plans, believing that balance must always be maintained. He taught the first Necromancer.

The First Beings
- thingumajig is said to be the first being that ever existed and combined all the characteristics of things that now exist. When he separated from himself all that was bad and evil, the seven-headed dragon Tathamet came into being. The two fought until they destroyed each other, creating the universe in the process. From his spine came the angels and from his eye the world stone.
- Tathamet is a seven-headed dragon, arose from the evil qualities of Anu and died in battle with him. From his heads sprang the seven evils, each ruling a dominion of hell that sprang from his body.

The seven evils
- main evil, the three brothers. The three of them ruled Hell, which had long been embroiled in a continuous war against Heaven. To corrupt the people of Sanctuary, they founded the cult of the Trinity.
- Mephisto, Lord of Hate: The eldest of the three brothers and father of Lilith and Lucion. Although he is the weakest of the brothers, he is also the most intelligent and cunning.
- BaalLord of Destruction: The middle brother is only interested in total annihilation and was also indirectly responsible for the destruction of the World Stone.
- Diablo, Lord of Terror: The youngest brother enjoys instilling fear in people’s hearts and is considered the most dangerous lord of hell. Of course, the games were also named after him.
- Lesser Evils: They are weaker than the three brothers and were kept small by them for a long time until they allied against the three and defeated them in a great war.
- Andariel, Maiden of Torments: She aided the lesser evils in their plans, but later sided with Diablo. Unlike Duriel, she inflicted mental torment on her victims.
- Duriel, Lord of Pain: The twin brother of Andariel also wanted to gain the favor of Diablo. He enjoys inflicting physical pain on his victims and loves the sound of their screams. He appears to be returning as an opponent in Diablo 4.
- Belial, Lord of Lies: He is a master of manipulation and is said to have persuaded Azmodan to revolt against the three brothers. He himself prefers to remain hidden in the shadows rather than lead armies himself, and spins complicated plots.
- AzmodanLord of Sin: He wanted to be the sole ruler of Hell and was dissatisfied with his place.
The angel
The five (formerly seven) archangels are said to embody the most important qualities of Anu: wisdom, justice, honor, hope and destiny. They ruled the heavens as Angiris Council.
- Tyrael, Aspect of Wisdom and Justice: Formerly the Archangel of Justice, Tyrael ministered to humanity. In the end, he even ripped off his wings and became mortal. One of his allies in the fight against his brother Malthael also plays a role in Diablo 4:

Diablo 4: Who is the mystery man from the first trailer?
- Auriel, Archangel of Hope: She fills the hearts of all with confidence and is the most beloved of all angels. In Diablo 3, she is captured by Diablo but freed by the players.
- Empire, Archangel of Honor: He is a great warrior, but also proud and reckless. While he used to have a good relationship with Tyrael, he no longer understands his passion for humanity.
- Malthael: The former Archangel of Wisdom disappeared from heaven after the destruction of the World Stone and became the Angel of Death. In Diablo 3 we must face him in Reaper of Souls and defeat him.
