Last year we reviewed many phones, but one of them we particularly liked for many reasons. We are talking about the Pixel 6a, a terminal that offered much of what its bigger brothers offered us, at a lower price.
We will see this year the successors of the Pixel 7, but also of the Pixel 6a, and it will obviously be called the Pixel 7a. This terminal has already started filtering, but Google has the power to make it one of the mobiles of the year in countries like Europe.

The Pixels have managed to achieve a distinctive aesthetic, which is what all brands are looking for in their models. This time it looks like the Pixel 7a will be nearly identical to the Pixel 6a, and that’s no problem.
Even the plastic build will be a hit because it helps bring the price down, and after all, the vast majority of people use a cover on their device.
A camera at the top
Already last year, the Pixel 6a surprised everyone by winning the popular MKBHD blind photo test, beating not only the iPhone, but also its big brothers, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
This year, Google has an easy task of at least maintaining that quality, and even improving on it. In fact, rumors suggest that the Pixel 7a would have two sensors behind it, the IMX787 and the IMX712. This implies that the camera system, 50 and 12 Mpx, would be the same as what we saw in Pixel 7.
A high-end processor
Last year, we were delighted to see how the Pixel 6a fared against many of its direct rivals. Google used the same chip in this terminal as in its more expensive models, and it showed.
This year the Pixel 7a should ship the Tensor G2, the processor of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, which does not make a big leap compared to its predecessor, but which guarantees more than good fluidity on a mobile, which, let us remember -the is in the mid-range.

Although there are cheaper models than the Pixel with 120Hz screens, it looks like Google will finally improve the screen of the cheaper model. The Pixel 7a would have a 90 Hz displaywhich, combined with Google’s good work with animations, might make many opt for this template over others.
Better internal memory and RAM
Another of the changes that it seems we will see is the jump in RAM and storage.
The Pixel 7a would be equipped with 8 GB of memory with LPDDR5 technology and the internal memory would use UFS 3.1 technology, which would give faster data write and read speeds.

In a context of rising prices, even the most economically aggressive brands in the mobile sector have increased their prices. Realme and Xiaomi are always big bets when looking for a cheap mobile, but the support that Google provides in the 400 euro environment is unbeatable. Only Samsung beats it.
If Google maintains the Pixel 6a strategy in the Pixel 7a, we can buy it for just over 400 dollars and, on sale, for just over 350 dollars, a cost close to the maximum that the average Spanish consumer wants to pay.
It will take a few weeks to see its official presentation, but the fact that Amazon already authorizes you to express your interest seems to indicate that Google is going to bet big on this model.
