Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Cinderace 7-Star Tera Raid Guide

7Star, Cinderace, guide, Pokémon, raid, Scarlet, Tera, Violet

Cinderella is the second seven-star Tera Raid Event objective in Pokemon scarlet and violet, and it’s a bit harder to defeat than Charizard. Cinderace hits very hard and has a variety of moves to exploit weaknesses.

Cinderace will be in Raids from January 12th at 7pm EST to January 15th at 6:59pm EST.

Cinderace Tera Raid Rewards

If you defeat Cinderace, you can catch one, but only one. After you catch your first one, you can’t catch another one even if you defeat it again. You get too TM64 (Bulk Up) and guaranteed ability patch for your first win.

The captured Cinderace has it all Hidden Ability Libero, which changes her typing to the first move she uses once per substitution. (Libero doesn’t activate if the Pokemon is Terastalized, so you don’t have to worry in this raid.) It comes along, too Most Powerful Brand, just like the Charizard from previous raids. It also has complete perfect IVs.

Similar to other Tera Raids, you can get other drops e.g. B. Exp. Candy, Tera Shards, Bottle Caps and Treasures that can be sold for money. Serebii.net has a complete drop table. Cinderace raids do not drop Herba Mystica.

Cinderace Tera Raid counter builds

There are two common builds you will see in Cinderace raids: Espathra and Slowbro. These are successful builds that work quite well and allow players to play the Cinderace even solo without using online allies. We explain how to mimic these builds and how they work.

Cinderace is level 100 with a fighting Tera-type. It knows High Jump Kick, Pyro Ball, Acrobatics, Iron Head and Bulk Up. Bulk Up makes it particularly dangerous, as it boosts its attack by tons before attempting to destroy your Pokemon. It’s important to either lower its stats back down or boost your Pokémon’s defenses.

You can still use yours azumarill (the one everyone builds with Belly Drum and Play Rough) vs Cinderace, but your mileage may vary. You need luck and/or a reliable support Pokémon; When using our Azumarill, we couldn’t successfully perform the belly drum without risking fainting. Cinderace hits like a brick and without the right support your Azumarill won’t work.

I personally do not recommend using Azumarill. You’re better off cheeseing the raid with the two builds we list below:

Build Cinderace Tera Raid Slowbro

  • Nature: Modest
  • Capability: does not matter
  • Tera type: clairvoyant
  • Electric Vehicles: 4 HP/252 Defense/252 Special Attack
  • IV’s: Max HP, Defense, Special Attack
  • Held Item: Life Orb or Twisted Spoon
  • movement set: Stored Power (TM41), Iron Defense (TM104), and Evil Conspiracy (TM140)

With your Slowbro at level 100, you can hit Cinderace with one shot – as long as she hasn’t raised her shield. Use Iron Defense twice, Nasty Plot twice, a “Go All Out!” cheer once, and finish with Stored Power to defeat the Cinderace.

Stored Power deals more damage as your stats increase. So after upgrading your Defense and Special Attack, you can take down the Cinderace quickly while withstanding its attacks.

Unfortunately, if Cinderace debuffs your Pokemon, you’ll have to start this process over again.

We successfully used this Slowbro strategy to win against Cinderace.

Cinderace Tera Raid Espathra build

  • Nature: Modest
  • Capability: opportunist
  • Tera type: clairvoyant
  • Electric Vehicles: 252 HP/252 Defense/4 Special Attack
  • IV’s: Max HP, Defense, Special Attack
  • Held Item: Light clay or shell bell
  • movement set: Lumina Crash, Reflect (TM74), Feather Dance, Roost (Egg Move)

To use this build successfully, You’ll need to spam Feather Dance early in the fight to keep Cinderace’s ever-increasing Attack down. When Cinderace has the shield up, stop using Feather Dance and use Lumina Crash instead, also blend in Roost to heal himself. Make sure you also use Terastallise to make Lumina Crash even more powerful. Remember to also use healing chants when your and/or your teammates’ HP gets too low.

The key here is Opportunist, Espathra’s ability, which matches her stat growth based on Cinderace. If Cinderace continues to use Bulk Up, Espathra’s Attack and Defense will also increase.

We didn’t test this Espathra build ourselves, but we had seen it many times in our raids that we were able to complete successfully.

Players have had success with a handful of other builds as cataloged in this comprehensive Reddit threadbut the above two builds are the ones we can confirm worked.
