2023 marks the 25th anniversary of the Spyro the Dragon series as the first game in the 3D platformer series that launched on the PlayStation One in 1998. Toys for Bob, which currently develops the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot franchises, posted a tweet saying, “Big moves and great mood for 2023.” and you can see a small picture of Spyro the Dragon in the left corner. We already know that Toys for Bob is working on a new multiplayer Crash Bandicoot spinoff called Crash Team Rumble that was announced at The Game Awards 2022. Insider gaming says it’s a safe bet that Spyro will appear in the game, but isn’t counting on a new Spyro game to help celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
