GeForce Now’s service will take on a whole new dimension on the Steam Deck for the streaming service. Explanations.
Currently Valve’s portable console/PC hybrid, the Steam Deck is obviously compatible with cloud gaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now. This is the guaranteed opportunity to have access to AAA on very good terms without bleeding your wallet by buying a Golgoth configuration. The problem is that at the moment the service created in Nvidia suffers from some relative instability issues.
Nvidia and Valve hand in hand for the good of the Steam Deck
Currently, in order to use such cloud gaming services, it is necessary to use a third-party application and go through a browser. Because the application is not available natively. Nvidia is aware of the problem and wants to make things better for the greater good. As a result, Andrew Fear, product manager for GeForce Now revealed PC gamer want to make things much better.
There is no native application on Steam Deck today. You must be using the Chromium browser for it to work. I would say it’s Nvidia and Valve, I think we’re both interested in improving the service. But we don’t have any announcements about an upcoming native app.
We will therefore have to wait a little longer, but everything is being discussed. At the same time, Fear (gosh, what a name) also hinted that Nvidia wanted to support road bikes on its streaming service, but again, it hasn’t said anything concrete yet. Especially at the level of a possible release date.
But things are definitely going in the right direction for the Steam Deck.
