Velen: No Man’s Land it is a wild place and full of swamps. Poverty has affected everyone, especially the people. The bloody baron he has proclaimed himself chieftain of these lands and rules under the hand of Nilfgaard. I’m not interested in politics, only what it has to say about Ciri.
First contact with the Order of Eternal Fire

The priest asks me if I can help him burn corpses so they don’t spread diseases and monsters. I accept, although he insists on releasing me his religious paraphernalia. Immediately afterwards I go to the three locations to carry out the work.
When I get to the last area, I find a mercenary trying to survive the attack of some Ghuls. He tells me that not all corpses are the product of war. The Church of Eternal Fire is taking advantage of the war to clean up. You don’t have to understand it. We will arrive in Novigrad soon. I save the mercenary and meet up with the priest.
I tell the priest what happened and his first reaction is try to bribe me so that I forget about it. There’s no gold that can buy me, so she throws her bodyguards at me. I quickly clean them up with my steel sword and finally I execute the priest. I loot him for my reward and a bonus for putting up with his lies and religious paraphernalia.
Raven’s Perch, a nest of mercenaries and opportunists
I get lost a couple more times on the way. I decide to go to Raven Perch to get answers about Ciri’s whereabouts. He stops at a tavern shortly before arriving to get information about the lord of the area and his vassals. Some mercenaries noticed my presence and approached looking for a fight. I don’t have time nor do I want to repeat what white orchardso I calm their tempers with an invitation to a round.
The mercenaries calm down and we drink together. Nothing money won’t fix. The hostilities are over and they let me continue investigating without hindrance. I find out that the man’s name is the bloody baron, that he proclaimed himself lord and that his soldiers are ruffians. Knowing this, I get back on the road.
Raven Perch It is a town built on a rock surrounded by a moat with water. The classic fortress. It has an outer ring that contains the town and an inner ring for the forge, the quartermaster, the stables, and the main house of the lord. Like I say, it’s not a big deal.
The outer ring is protected by a pair of guards who don’t block my way. The whole fortress is full of wanted posters with the faces of two women. Two guards stop me at the second ring. I tell them I have to talk to the Baron. Coincidences of life, one of them was in the group I invited to a round, so they let me pass on the condition that I don’t get into trouble.
The Bloody Baron, a miserable drunk with hints of self-pity
The Bloody Baron receives me without question. After a while of presentation talk in which he tells me the origin of his apoco, he reveals to me that he knows who I am and why I am there. My reaction couldn’t be more dry: tell me what I want to know and don’t waste my time.

I accept and ask him to let me investigate his rooms. He makes himself dignified, but I demand that he stop wasting my time.
The family of the Bloody Baron: alcohol, abuse and superstition
I investigate three rooms, first the rooms of the couple, then the room of the young woman and finally the guest room. She doesn’t tell me much: she knows me thanks to Ciri’s words and that the Baron treated them both well.

The girl’s room doesn’t reveal much: her toys and candies are still there, so she went suddenly. Meeting Ciri’s clothes in the last room.
I decide to follow the scent of wine trail to see where it leads me. On the way, I find a protection amulet in a stairwell. I continue down to the bottom, where I find an altar to the Eternal Fire. Drunken husband, a woman devoted to religion and a girl who leaves without her toys. One plus one…
I see the Baron again to tell him about my suspicions. He gets defensive and demands that I continue with the trail I’ve found. I don’t feel like having family debates, so I ride Sardinilla and get ready asfollow the trail of both. She goes missing shortly after leaving the fortress.
The trail has gone cold, but I still have viable leads to follow: I can visit the sorceress the one Ciri ran into or go to the conjurer that made the amulet that I found on the stairs of the fortress while following the smell of wine.
In any case, everything indicates that the woman has escaped with the daughter. All the clues point to it. I decide not to go back to the Baron to avoid hearing more lies and I go to see the sorceress and the conjurer. Surely both clarify the facts. Every moment she takes Ciri a little further away from me.
