Philippe Lavoué, CEO of Nintendo France, announced that the Nintendo Switch family of systems has become the best-selling console in France of all time. Nintendo France has now moved more than 7.1 million Nintendo Switch family units since the original system’s launch in 2017, meaning the Switch has now overtaken the Wii to become the country’s most popular game console. According to the latest count, Sony has sold more than six million PlayStation 4 consoles. Although Le Figaro points out that the French market is “handicapped by persistent shortages of Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S.” The French news site also states that the figures show that “almost a quarter of French households are now equipped with one or more switches.”

- Splatoon 3: 254,000 sales
- Animal Crossing New Horizons: 253,000 sales
- Kirby and the Forgotten World: 214,000 copies sold
