Rumors are swirling about Metal Gear Solid’s release, and they show no sign of slowing down. As is typical for Konami, there has been silence on the topic of whether we’ll see a new Metal Gear game anytime soon.
That said, Konami did revive Silent Hill recently, announcing that Bloober Team is remaking the classic Silent Hill 2. It’s a sign that Konami is finally starting to appreciate one of its prolific series tucked under its belt, but will Konami show the same affection for Metal Gear?
Well, there’s been a lot of speculation that the company might be doing just that. Also, as of today, the voice actor behind Metal Gear Solid Raiden further fueled the rumors on Twitter.
Quin ton Flynn, the voice of Raiden in multiple MGS games, was promoting his Cameo on Twitter when a user replied, reminding him that Metal Gear Rising will be 10 years old next month. A second user then speculated that a sequel to the game might be shown at the Metal Gear Show, to which Flynn responded, “Stay tuned for something to be announced in the next few weeks.”
Stay tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks 😉

It’s safe to say that it’s unusual for Quinton Flynn to tweet if there isn’t any Metal Gear news en route. However, it’s uncertain what the aforementioned “things to be announced” might be. Will we get a sequel, a remake, or a whole new game? Or are we going to dump another NFT collection on us?
Only time will tell. What do you want to see next for the Metal Gear franchise?
