Callisto Protocol gets new game+ in latest patch

a new update Callisto Protocol Now Available, Added New Game + Mode.

Once the patch is applied, completing the game will provide access to the game mode. The game requires a valid save file to offer this mode.

All Weapons, Progressions, Upgrades and Callisto Points can be collected in the first Reforge of New Game+.

Along with New Game+, this patch fixes the “The Protocol is About Life” achievement. General performance optimizations have been applied to all platforms, and you will no longer take damage when climbing over obstacles.

It also fixes multiple issues where certain camera angles or progression paths could cause the environment to flow out and drop Jacob off the ground. Made a consistency check on cabinets, lockers, and shelves to display correctly in high-contrast mode.

Made voice leveling and subtitle mismatch adjustments for localized languages.

On PC, the patch fixes a low-frequency crash at the tunnel level during the Two Head fight, and the skip movie button has been mapped to the interact/pickup input. The Striking Distance Studios team also fixed a long-standing glitch when ray-traced shadows were enabled in the main menu, and fixed an issue where the mouse cursor would not display during certain zone transitions.

Finally, on PlayStation 4, the patch fixes a low-frequency crash in Snowcat when Jacob talks to Dani.

Our The Callisto Protocol review, published in December 2022, gave the game a 3/5, noting that while a good game, it has lost its potential, and it’s not a good idea for the spiritual successor to Dead Space It is “milquetoast”.
