The Last of Us, the series has just released excellent news about the second season, Neil Druckmann is downright moved.
series The last of us directed by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and co-produced by Neil Druckmann, the father of the license, is a hit and has HBO rubbing its hands. Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie), surrounded by talented actors and actresses, managed to give us some pretty incredible performances in just two episodes and the show’s success is already to be proven. The fans are now legion and the long-awaited big news has just dropped.
Season 2 of The Last of Us confirmed after just… two episodes
Yes, it’s finished, the series The last of us will indeed have the right to its second season. At this point, it’s difficult to really know where this second season will take us, as we don’t yet know exactly where the plot of the first will end. However, we suspect that the events of the first game will finally conclude and will therefore be those of The Last of Us Part 2 which will take over for this Season 2. Also, the perfect actress to play Abby, one of the main heroines of the second game, would have already been found.
As Variety reports, Neil Druckmann, creator of the license and producer of the series, still can’t believe it. Very moved, the man announced the news to us by thanking all the fans, Craig Mazin, HBO, etc… in short, everyone.
I am humbled, honored and frankly blown away that so many people enjoyed and connected to our story of Joel and Ellie’s journey. Working with Craig Mazin, our incredible cast and crew, and HBO exceeded my already high expectations. Now we have the absolute pleasure of being able to do it again with Season 2! Thank you on behalf of everyone at Naughty Dog & PlayStation!

Warning, spoilers for Season 2 of The Last of Us
If season 2 picks up the scenario of the second game directly, very big atmospheric upheavals are already to be expected and the show could get a little… heavier. In The Last of Us Part 2, we actually follow Ellie, a now 19-year-old young woman who embarks on a bloody journey after the brutal murder of one of her relatives.
She then traverses the entire country to take revenge, decimating virtually all those who try to stop her along the way and becoming lost in her quest for revenge. A new road trip across an America ravaged by the Cordyceps and surviving factions just as dangerous, if not more so, than the mutants.
The game, which was well appreciated and praised many times, was still harpooned for several things, most notably its very graphic violence. Bella Ramsey should certainly surprise us in season 2, as the second game’s Ellie is drastically different from the young teenage girl of the first part. We look forward to seeing that.
So can’t you wait to see this season 2 of The Last of us?
