How to Beat Boss Hunter in Dead Space
Once you find the source of the show and stop it in Chapter 5, you will be violently introduced to the hunter.
The hunter is a regenerative type enemy, which means you cannot kill him with your weapons.
You will be trapped with the hunter in this room for a short time. All you have to do here is wait until Daniels unlocks the door to Imaging Diagnostics. Use Stasis and sever the hunter’s legs to slow him down here.
Once the door opens, flee from the hunter and follow the quest marker. You can pick up the line gun by opening a level 2 security clearance door while running from the hunter.
Soon after, you need to go to cryogenics to get liquid nitrogen. This is when the fight really begins, so keep in mind that you can only beat the hunter in cryogenics.
The Dead Space remake brings back the Hunter and Leviathan bosses, as well as the Centrifuge puzzle. New additions include security clearance levels, weapon slots, and revised trophies and achievements.
Dead Space Hunter boss strategy in Cryogenics
As soon as you collect the liquid nitrogen, the hunter will reappear and you will be locked in cryogenics with him. No one will open the door for you this time, so you’ll have to find a way to get rid of it on your own.
To beat the boss Hunter in Dead Space you must trap it in the cryogenic chamber with Kinesis, then freeze it from the control panel.

First Of all, we recommend killing the smaller enemies in the room first so you can lure the hunter into the room without getting hurt. Cut their tentacles to kill them quickly.
Once the smaller enemies are dead, enter the cryogenic chamber until the hunter follows you, then use your Stasis to freeze him. Take off his legs, then use Stasis again when the first one runs out.
Latelyrun quickly down the corridor in front of the cryogenic chamber and use the control panel to freeze the hunter.
As long as the hunter was inside the cryogenic chamber when you used the control panel, he will be frozen and then transported somewhere else, leaving a tissue sample behind for the “Wilful Malpractice” side quest.
