How to craft in Forspoken
To craft in Forspoken you need to find a crafting bench or create a camp. You will come across your first crafting bench while in Cipal Town shortly after encountering Olevia. This is your first chance to learn more about crafting.
You won’t learn how to set up camp until you leave Cipal and come across the right wood.
Use Crafting Bench
Once you find a crafting bench, approach it and interact with it using the prompt command to bring up the crafting menu.
Here you will have two options, ‘Craft’ and ‘Upgrade’. To create a new item from the materials you have gathered, click on the “Craft” option on the left. The “upgrade” option allows you to add advantages and improve your equipment.
When you’re in the “Craft” area, you’ll see a list of all the items you currently know how to craft.
Select the item you want to craft and if you have enough materials, you can craft it. You’ll also be shown how many of that item you can craft with the materials you’ve gathered, so it’s up to you whether you use them all on one item or split the materials among a few.
Craft in a Camp
Not to be confused with Campgrounds, a completely separate thing, Camps are small rest areas that Frey can create while exploring wild areas. You can rest there to restore your health and you can craft them.
To be able to create a camp, you must have collected wood. Once you find some good wood, press and hold your d-pad to set up camp. You can still be attacked while sitting in a campso be careful where you place it.
To craft in a camp, select the “Craft” option that appears on the small bar at the bottom of your screen. Then proceed to craft items as you would at a crafting bench.
How to Find Crafting Benches in Forspoken
The best place to find crafting benches in Forspoken is in Pilgrims Refuges.
Crafting benches aren’t marked on any of the maps, so it’s more a case of exploring a settlement and an area to find them. This is why the easiest way to find one quickly is to quickly go to a Refuge building.
Forspoken has arrived and we have boss strategies to help you defeat Tanta Sila, Tanta Prav, the Insane Savant, and the final boss. Before facing these bosses, however, you might want to learn how to craft, upgrade your gear, and find all sources of blessings. Meanwhile, understanding fast travel and clearing monuments will also help you in Fray’s journey through Athia.
Where to find crafting materials in Forspoken
If you don’t have materials, you can’t craft anything. The easiest way to find crafting materials in Forspoken is to fill your inventory as you explore.
There are usually more crafting materials to be found in the wild, although a few can still be found in settlements. If you use Cuff to scan the area, any collectables or important crafting items will be highlighted for a short time.
Forspoken rewards curiosity, so it’s worth taking the time to look around each area you visit.
Also, if there’s something specific you want to make but you don’t have the materials, you can also check the ones you need at the Crafting Bench. Simply hover over the item you wish to craft and the required materials will be listed at the bottom of the screen.
How to Unlock New Crafting Recipes in Forspoken
You may have come across Old Coins while traveling in nature. These serve a purpose, and it’s worth collecting them when you find them. Old coins can be used with Book Shop to exchange “books”.
These basically allow Frey to learn how to craft new items and upgrades.
Enjoy crafting and exploring the rest of Athia!
