Why should 2023 be different than 2022? The shifts are already piling up again this year and now The Last of Us has caught it too. But fortunately not too bad.
The PC implementation of The Last of Us was actually supposed to be released on March 3rd and would have been the ideal transition from the HBO series to experiencing the game yourself – if you’re a PC gamer. But as so often in the last few months, nothing will come of it for the time being.
As Naughty Dog Studios just announced, the release of The Last of Us for PC will be delayed by a few weeks. At least not too far, the new date is March 28th, so you only have to be patient for a little more than three weeks.
After a few words of praise about the love of the fans for the series and also for the HBO series, a reason is given and we have heard it many times. They want to release the game in the best possible condition and need a little more time to be able to meet the expectations of the fans as well as their own. In other words, there is still a bit of screwing, cleaning and polishing to bring the apocalyptic journey of Joel and Ellie to the monitors in a species-appropriate manner.
More information about the PC version will follow shortly, presumably which adjustments and optimizations have been made. Well, until then, you can continue to enjoy the excellent HBO series that’s raking in rave reviews after rave reviews, apart from the review bombing of the third episode. The story of Bill and Frank doesn’t seem to suit some homophobic characters at all. But most don’t care, the number of viewers has continued to climb and the disparaging opinion of some people should probably not change much in the further success of the series.
