Dragon Age: InquisitionThe ending of had more permutations
Whether prompted by trend or not, David Gaider, who previously served as a writer for the series before departing in 2016, released the original roadmap Dragon Age: Inquisitionis over. The ending, which began with the game, featured a brief sting from Solas, the party member-turned-surprise villain, meeting up with the series’ enigmatic mainstay Flemeth and seemingly claiming her life and power. As it turns out, there was a draft ending that would have ended with the player or her daughter Morrigan killing her instead. This would have tied to a decision early in the game where the player chooses to drink from the Well of Sorrows, essentially giving Flemeth control over whoever participated. The controlled character would have fought Solas for her, but it appears that Solas would have gone anyway and either the player or Morrigan would have killed Flemeth. There aren’t many details, but it seems inquisitionThe finale of had a lot more conflict at one point.
gaider says in thread that he was okay with how the final scene ended, comparing it to a Marvel-style stinger that would portend something to come, and says The team did not create a playable build the original outline. Funnily enough, the player character is also present in the resulting scene, out of shot and in the bushes.
