This is now, by my count, the fourth time we’ve posted about a Dark Forces x Unreal Engine remake. However, it is the first time that I am able to post today, right now, about one that is downloadable and playable by you properly.
Previous attempts have been either graphical showcases or tech demos, but this latest attempt – from Ruppertle– is fully interactive and not only contains two storyline missions Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight
“The goal was to recreate one of my favorite childhood games while retaining the basic look, feel and gameplay,” says Ruppertle. “After almost 3 years of development, the project has finally gotten to a point where I feel ready to share it with you.”

If you want to check out some of the others Dark Forces/Jedi Knight Projects I’ve talked about, they’re all worth checking out because they’re all trying something different. For example, he imagined the original game with a modern interfacewhile This one went into town to rebuild the first level of the original Dark Forces with some very fancy visuals.
