Good start for Hogwarts Legacy before the actual launch.
Strictly speaking, Hogwarts Legacy will not be released until February 10, 2023. However, the Harry Potter role-playing game is already inspiring a whole crowd of players who are driving up the numbers on Steam. This makes Hogwarts Legacy one of the most successful single player players on the Valve platform.
How does that even work? Quite simply: those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition have been able to start Early Access since February 7th and thus leave their life as muggles behind. And the interest in Hogwarts Legacy is therefore huge!

Sea SteamDB have the player numbers from yesterday with a total of 489,139 reached its current peak. If Hogwarts Legacy had been officially released, it would be the Steam Top 100 in 3rd place – ahead of games like Apex Legends, PUBG, Lost Ark and GTA 5.
How does that compare to the top paid single player games on Steam? Here, Hogwarts Legacy is already enthroned in second place, leaving Fallout 4 behind with its 472,962 simultaneous players at its best and is currently only surpassed by Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red’s RPG continues to hold the record with a whopping 1,054,388 concurrent players in December 2020.
Warner Bros. Games should still have no reason to complain. For the publisher, Hogwarts Legacy is the most successful in-house game on Steam to date – previous titles such as MultiVersus, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Back 4 Blood or Mortal Kombat 11 can’t get these numbers.
Note: We’re still talking about numbers skyrocketing ahead of the final release. It will be exciting to see how Hogwarts Legacy will end on February 10, 2023, when the rest of the world starts a career as a wizard or witch and no longer only those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition wave their magic wands.
