In addition to dates for Pikmin 4, Advance Wars 1+2 and the Shadowdrop from Metroid Prime Remastered, which we summarized in another news item, Nintendo did not skimp on announcements at yesterday’s Direct, but primarily smaller titles. First of all, what everyone has been waiting for, namely a new sign of life from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, no groundbreaking news, but “just” a new trailer:
Otherwise, many smaller titles were announced. Among other things, the Samba de Amigo series from Sega is being revived. The new game is called Samba de Amigo: Party Central and is scheduled to be released for Switch in the summer. The old DS title Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is getting a remaster and is also scheduled for release this summer for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Splatoon 3 will get an Expansion Pass that will weigh you down Inkopolis from the original game in the first spring wave, as well as a new campaign later called Side Order. Octopath Traveler 2 not only got a new trailer, but a playable demo showing the first few hours of the game is now available. Surprising was the announcement of a new Professor Layton under the title Professor Layton and The New World of Steam – but there was no more information than the short teaser gives.
Bandai Namco’s We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie has been announced for June 2, as well as turn-based role-playing game Sea of Stars, which is slated for release on August 29. Free multiplayer air hockey game Omega Strikers is coming to Nintendo Switch on April 27th. With Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection, a remaster collection of the first three games will be released on June 1st. The detective adventure Master Detective Archives: Rain Code is scheduled for June 30th. There will be a touch of Gamecube nostalgia with Baten Kaitos &Ⅱ HD Remaster this summer.
