The Korea Game Rating Committee has given Sonic Origins Plus Provisional Rating, Proposed Extended Version sonic origin in development.
That’s according to listings on rating sites that Gematsu dug up.
Added “Plus” to the end of the title, suggesting the publisher is taking the same route as in 2018 sonic madness plus It publishes additional content that was not originally included.
Expansions may include new features or game mechanics. In addition to more content and fixes to existing issues, Sonic Origins Plus may also include new features or game mechanics.
For example, new abilities or power-ups could be added to the game, giving players even more reasons to return to Sonic’s origins. Alternatively, new playable characters and additional modes, such as time-lapse mode or score attack mode, could give players even more ways to enjoy Sonic Origins. Whatever new features they add, SEGA should be working on improving the current gameplay.
Due to numerous bugs, the original Sonic Origins wasn’t very popular at launch, so an expanded version with published updates, more levels or gameplay is very welcome. More content would give players more monetary value, while also offering opportunities to revisit areas from the original game with new abilities. Additionally, the expansion has the potential to improve upon an already good game by addressing some of the criticisms of Sonic Origins and adding new features and gameplay mechanics.
A potential date for Sonic Origins Plus is currently unknown, but due to its pending rating, it could be released soon.
Sonic Origins releases in June 2022 Owns four Sonic games in one package. These games are Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD.
Each game has been digitally remastered and includes added features, new content and modes, and more.
Classic Mode, Anniversary Mode with Full Screen, Infinite Lives, Quests, Medals, and Museum are some of the new features. It also contains medals. These are earned when completing various missions in the included game, and are used to unlock new content from the vault, attempt special stages, and more.
After release, players encountered various bugs and GPU usage issues and other performance issues on PC.
A patch was eventually released, adding some features and fixing over 42 bugs.
