Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated games of 2023. Respawn Entertainment’s new game continues the story of Cal Kestis after the events of Fallen Order. And although our beloved protagonist returns stronger and with more tricks up his sleeve, the enemies are coming with reinforcements.
What Design Director Jason de Heras and Production Director Kasumi Shishido confirmed in a new interview with IGN firstwhere they talked about eight new types of Separatist droids along with their artwork that lets us revel in their design.
Revealed new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor enemies
These separatist droids will be just some of the new enemies we will have to face. So we have the B1 Battle Droids, which tend to attack in fairly large groups. We already know them from movies and anime series and we can expect the same level of humor and jokes between them as usual. Along with the B1s, the B2s also arrive. These droids are the bullies and will require a higher number of hits to defeat them. In addition, they are armed with blasters and missile launchers that we can use in our favor through force.
With them we will have the BX droids, agile and skilled fighters at close range thanks to the Vibro swords they carry. And in a good droid army, droids, known as destroyer droids, couldn't be missing. Yes, they are the ones that have a bubble-shaped energy shield on them. Rounding out the trio of formidable enemies is the IG-100, considered the best elite of droids. They were General Grevious's guards during the Clone Wars and are certainly on par with any Jedi.
Finally, among the novelties, we have the DT Sentry Droid, a droid from the animated series Star Wars: Rebels. He has three variants depending on his weapons: baton, missile or hammer and blaster. They are the deadliest enemies, and according to Shishido, first encountering them in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is quite a challenge. With them we have the KX Security Droid Enforcer, enemies that we already knew from the first game and now return improved, since they have a stun staff. Continuing with the forces of the empire, but in this human case, the stormtroopers return, although this time with more defense thanks to the shield they incorporate into their weapons.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PC and PS5 on April 28, 2023 after suffering a small one-month delay.
