The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold more than 40 million units and is making a strong comeback thanks to the release of the Netflix series and the PS5 / Xbox series version last December. The opportunity for players to discover or rediscover CD Projekt’s iconic action role-playing game, as well as its…Wanderings.
The Witcher 3: a cult game yet to be discovered
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a huge open world in which Geralt de Riv, witcher by profession, develops. There he is looking for Cirilla, his ward, who has suddenly reappeared on the continent, hunted by the terrible Wild Hunt. It’s not just about finding a loved one, but also helping them prevent the end of the world foretold by a prophecy heralding the Great Cold.
Very well received thanks to the writing of its quests, its lively and coherent world or its outstanding characters, The Witcher 3 has become a true reference of the genre. The game’s very good reputation was reinforced with the release of two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine, which add several tens of hours to the initial experience. Even today, and even more since the release of the Definitive Edition, The Witcher 3 is still cited as a model to follow, apart from the hundreds of interesting points that are no longer favored by players and critics.
A rare and funny bug shared by a player
But The Witcher 3 is open world, and who says open world says bugs or scripts that trigger in weird ways. Many bugs have been fixed since the game’s release in 2015, but some remain and updates have introduced others. Few problems now ruin the gaming experience, but it regularly happens that a problem causes a player to have a hilarious or very amazing streak, even resulting in memes being born. It recently happened when CD Projekt shared one of the funniest bugs ever seen in the game. Shared on Reddit by This_Ordinarythe clip shows Geralt and Roak trying to get through a barrier.
Unfortunately, they were completely or almost blocked. Roach is frozen and Geralt is stuck in his driving position. However, it can be controlled, causing the witcher to sway and hold on to the reins. It turns out to be a really very funny and unusual video, especially as we can hear Geralt yelling “Hey, yah!”. or “Slow, now” to his mare as he swings in the void. We don’t know how the player got out, but we imagine that he ended up loading a backup to continue his journey.
