Last year 2019 was the start of a trend for phones that, whether you like it or not, will last a while. We refer to cellular wrapping. Samsung launched its own spring and began selling it in the fall. Huawei announced it on the same dates and started selling, even though it was only in their own country.
The 5 barriers to wrap will need to be successful
The wrap calls will remain, but their progress will be slower than expected. What prevents them from being successful in the market?
There is another developer who announced that it is working on it, Xiaomi, which has shown its kind of visibility into other videos, but that has not yet been announced.
Instead of that model (though the company says for different projects) the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha, a touchscreen signal that turned into a phone, flashed. Now that mobile has passed into the hands of what is probably the most well-known technology in the world, Mark Brownlee, better known as MKBHD.
Xiaomi prototype without date or price?
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Marques tells him what he thinks of this portable system. He always says it is a model and that Xiaomi did not offer a sale date or price.
Surprisingly, he confirms that at the launch Xiaomi made it clear that the cost of this model would be 19,999 yuan, about 2,500 euros.
In addition, Xiaomi said the model will be deployed by the end of 2019, something we know has never happened. It looks like the company has come back from the idea of selling it, and now has it as a mobile phone.
A single, useless screen
In the MKBHD connection, he explains that the most prominent feature of the screen is its size, 7.9 inches, and especially that it sits almost at the front and back of the cellphone. Use of this screen is limited to a few functions:
- It works like a camera display when we want to take a selfie.
- It's light when we charge a cellphone to give the feeling that the terminal is full of fluid.
- It has some widgets that we can set up when we don't want to turn the end off.
- Notifications, time and cover go to the left edge of the mobile, which is also the screen.
And he also says that it actually serves … "that it's cool", that is, molar. And yes, it's a phone that attracts attention, but that doesn't seem to offer anything that allows the expense that Xiaomi had already given us.
