Diablo fans can pull out their calendars, because Blizzard Entertainment has now confirmed the date for the previously planned open beta test phase in addition to the already fixed release date. So the wait won’t be long at all.
All those interested will soon have the opportunity to view the new action role-playing game Diablo IV from Blizzard Entertainment. Because in the run-up to the planned release of the full version on June 6, 2023, the developer studio will host a freely accessible open beta test phase.
According to Blizzard Entertainment, this open beta will take place in two time windows in the coming month of March. The first test phase is scheduled for March 17-19, followed by a second public test phase the following weekend from March 24-26.
All pre-orderers can take part in the first early access beta, and on the second weekend everyone who is interested can take part without pre-ordering. Not only the PC version is still supported, but you can also get on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
What is the scope of the beta? On both weekends you can then see the early phase of the game in its current state. Included is the prologue as well as the complete act 1 including the first zone called “Fractured Peaks”. Blizzard has set level 25 as the level cap for player characters. Anyone who has reached this can only no longer climb higher, but can definitely continue playing the beta with the character.
Diablo IV will later offer cross-platform play and cross-progression for the release; these features will probably be tested as part of the beta. The finished game should later have 140 non-linear dungeons, numerous side quests and an incredible amount of loot to offer. There are also world bosses that you have to fight in groups.
