First, to unlock this secret ending, you’ll need to complete the game in a normal save slot, then enjoy it again in new game more. In this game you will have to collect the 12 Effigy Fragments which are scattered all over the map. Once you have them all, you will have reached the alternate ending.
In this extra ending, we see how Isaac, who has already completely lost his mind over everything that happened in dead space, build a new effigy before leaving the planet. Although at the narrative level it is not that it is revolutionary or that it reveals a new story to us, this end is masterfully linked to what will happen to our protagonist in Dead space 2, title in which we will see him completely disappeared and devoid of any reason.
