Waze has been owned by Google since 2013 and compatible with Google-developed Android Auto since 2017, but that doesn’t mean there’s some friction between them. For example, when Coolwalk arrived, Waze was not yet 100% compatible with different screen modes.
Waze has already announced that Android Auto fullscreen and splitscreen support is on the way, but something even worse is happening to some users: Waze crashed and closed on Android Auto. The latest version 4.92.0.1 of Waze is coming to fix this problem.

If you are not part of the Waze beta program (which is full), you can download the APK from APKMirror. Since the release of this bugfix version, a later version with additional fixes has already been released: Waze 4.92.0.3.
