PC VR headsets like the Oculus Quest, aka Meta Quest, are getting a new game from a hit VR series. Prepare to avoid death!
You can do anything in VR, including virtually dying, and that’s the whole point of a famous franchise set to return with a new PC VR game (Oculus Quest…).
Virtual death from an Oculus Quest
Independent developers Schell Games have announced that I Expect You To Die 3 will be released in 2023 for PC VR and Oculus Quest 2 (Meta Quest 2) headsets.
We’ve got some unique and promising locations in I Expect You To Die 3: Rooster in the Machine, and we can’t wait to see players solve the puzzles in a race to defeat Dr. Beating Zor in his very own game of the series can have fun delving into it, while long-time fans will appreciate the fun nods to previous games.
Over Upload VR.
I Expect You To Die 3, like its elders, will be an escape game in which you’ll have to be cold-blooded to solve puzzles as best you can, under threat of death. An idea that will delight the creator of the Oculus Quest and his much crazier project. No release date yet, but it’s coming later in the year.
I Expect You To Die 3 on PSVR 2?
In the release, Schell Games announces availability on PC VR headsets like the Oculus Quest 2, but no mention of PSVR 2. Considering I Expect You To Die 1 & 2 were released on Sony’s older device , there’s no reason it shouldn’t. Maybe a State of Play reveal?
