Suicide Squad has finally emerged, bringing us the perfect explosive game service kit, but fans are clearly not going to like it.
After a lackluster Gotham Knights, the other big part of the DC Universe video game was highly anticipated. Especially since we find Rocksteady at the controls of this Suicide Squad, a studio whose notoriety literally exploded with the Batman Arkham series. So expectations were very high, but fans already fretful about the game service dimension run the risk of quickly becoming disillusioned.
Suicide Squad plays it unrestrained
Yes, we finally got the right to a big gameplay session and a lot of information, but it could be a real cold shower for many fans. Gone are the brutal battles of Arkham and the dark and mesmerizing gothic Gotham, say hello to total explosions, flashy colors and leaps of tens of meters. The fun game challenges the anti-heroes to attack large fluorescent purple pustules that cling to tanks, as well as use and abuse antics to make each hero fly around the sky. We have to admit that we didn’t expect it.
A pure and hard service game
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League should in fact be a pure blood service game and also be fully playable in cooperation with up to 4 players. The developers have already announced post-launch content and, thankfully, once the game is released they plan to only put online a Battle Pass filled with cosmetics.
It will be possible to control 4 iconic anti-heroes of the license: King Shark, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang. Each hero has their own signature abilities and weapons, and can be customized from head to toe. The loot will also be paramount, as it will allow you to tweak your stats and diversify game approaches. It remains to be seen how all this will fit together and more importantly if everything will live up to expectations.
