343 Industries will soon kick off Season 3 of Halo Infinite. We tell you what awaits you at the beginning of March.
Halo Infinite Season 3 is almost here after being delayed by several months. A fresh trailer has now been released, preparing for the launch that is finally approaching.
It’s supposed to start on March 7th: Then you’ll be able to throw yourself into “Echoes Within”. Originally, this was supposed to be much earlier, but the development team decided in September last year to postpone it for months.
Now that the time has come, what can you expect from the new season? Specifically, there will be three new maps, a new weapon, and a new piece of equipment.
Arena mode will get two new maps: Cliffhanger and Chasm. The former is a large, open map, literally set on a cliff. The latter, on the other hand, is an indoor map with laser bridges. The third new map is called Oasis and is an 8v8 map for Big Team Battle. The theme here is the desert, where you will have plenty of space to drive around with the Warthog.
The new weapon is the M392 Bandit DMR, a classic weapon that many series fans should be happy about the return of. Judging by the look in the trailer, this should work similarly to the DMR from the older Halo games like Halo 4 or Halo: Reach. Matching this, there is the shroud screen as a new piece of equipment.
Rounding out Season 3 are some Forge levels that will be added to the Community Collection playlist and a Battle Pass with 100 levels. This returns this model to its usual scope after only 30 levels were available in the Winter Battle Pass.
Season 3 of Halo Infinite is scheduled to run from March 7th to June 27th.
