The Walking Dead: Dead City drives Maggie (Lauren Cohan) to despair. So much so that she even joins forces with her nemesis and her husband’s killer in the new The Walking Dead spin-off. Anything to save the only family left to her: Hershel.

As a new teaser trailer reveals, Maggie’s son has been kidnapped by a ruthless villain and taken to the Big Apple. Their only way out seems to be to team up with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to save the child from the clutches of the Croat (Željko Ivanek).

The trailer leaves open why only Negan can help Maggie in the search for Hershel. However, Negan already let it shine through in “The Walking Dead” that he feels responsible for the boy after taking his father.
