Battlefield 2042 Season 4: Eleventh Hour is available now. Here are all the other details for you.
Electronic Arts and DICE announce that Battlefield 2042 – Season 4: Eleventh Hour is available now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
Season Four brings a host of new content, including a new map, specialist, more weapons, vehicle and gadget, and 100 new Battle Pass tiers.
In Season 4, the battlefield shifts to the rugged landscapes of South Africa. Players will face unique challenges in the new close-quarters combat map, Flashpoint. While vehicles seek cover outside, players will engage in intense hand-to-hand combat in the map’s vast interior, including an underground tunnel.
New specialist and reconnaissance expert Camila Blasco can move through the landscape without being detected by motion sensors thanks to her customized tactical loadout. Her unique special gadget – the X6 Infiltration Device – prevents acquisition by enemy devices, disrupts active spotting technology, creates dead zones, and reveals enemy technologies within its range until they are destroyed or deactivated.
All other new content of Season 4 at a glance:
- New Weapon – Super 500 Shotgun Sidearm: A compact, short-range pump-action shotgun originally intended for breakthrough use, but capable of extreme close quarters combat.
- New weapon – RM68: A variable assault rifle with an integrated silencer and a counterweight for better stability and recoil control.
- New Weapon – SMG AC9: A lightweight submachine gun with an ergonomic body for optimal control in fast-paced hipfire combat.
- New weapon – LMG RPT-31: A larger machine gun with a low rate of fire, powerful projectiles, high projectile velocity and a unique folding scope augment.
- New Gadget – SPH Explosive Launcher: A perfect tool of destruction that shoots explosive charges that stick to players, objects and vehicles, making them an ideal anti-infantry weapon.
- New Vehicle – CAV Brawler: A nimble armored personnel carrier capable of traversing small areas and providing cover for players. In addition to active threat detection and a close-range defense system that throws grenades in all directions, this vehicle acts as a team spawner, allowing allies to spawn next to it even when it’s fully manned.
This core content will be available to all players as part of the Battlefield 2042 Free Tier Battle Pass. Additional cosmetic items are available through the premium version of the Battle Pass.
Season 4 sees the return of Battlefield’s popular class system, which separates Specialists into the four classic and familiar classes of Assault, Pioneer, Recon, and Support. As part of this system, the equipment of the specialists will also be redefined in order to make the roles more structured and understandable for players.
As the season progresses, players can expect the next revamped map, Discarded, which features improved line of sight and visibility, a variety of covers for enhanced infantry combat, as well as better control points, all-new areas of the map, and more.
