Destiny 2: Lightfall and Season of Defiance are here

Greetings Guardian. Today we celebrate the release of Destiny 2: Lightfall, the latest Chapter in destiny 2 Light and Darkness Saga, along with Season of Defiance. With an all-new campaign, new objective, new activities, new rewards and more, we thought you’d want to know everything that’s happening. Let’s dive in.

Our end begins

When the light falls, our end begins. The Witness and Calus, his newest apprentice, are fast approaching, and with them the newly formed Shadow Legion. Your mission as the Guardian is to gather new allies, weave new powers into your arsenal, and give him everything you have to save humanity. The tools you unlock throughout the campaign are plucked from the threads of consciousness itself. Introduction beach.

New Power: Strand

Strand is the latest power to come destiny 2. Throughout the campaign, you’ll unlock new abilities that allow you to manipulate reality and tear the cosmic web that binds us all. When we introduce a new power, we want to make sure it’s brand new and unique to the game. We can say with confidence that Strand is unlike anything else in the Destiny universe.

With new power comes new responsibilities. Whether you’re a warlock summoning Threadlings out of nowhere, a hunter gracefully gliding into battle, or a titan shattering everything and everyone in your path, one thing is clear: you’ll need to master your new abilities in order to Defend Neomuna and protect your new allies. And with more fragments and aspects for Strand to unlock upon completing the campaign, we can’t wait to see how you build those new powers.

Legendary Campaign

For Guardians looking for a challenge, we have some great news. The legendary mode we debuted in The Witch Queen returns for Lightfall! Test your skills and be rewarded with legendary gear. Once you’ve completed the Legendary Mode campaign, you’ll be ready to dive headfirst into the raid, which launches March 10th.

New Exotics

If you thought we didn’t have new exotics to liven up your arsenal, you were wrong. Enjoy some of the exciting Exotic weapons and arm yourself within reach:

• Last warning: Hold the trigger on this Kinect beach sidearm to mark targets in range and load a volley of bullets. When fired from the hip, projectiles will aggressively track marked targets.
• Deterministic Chaos: While holding the trigger, every fourth bullet of this Void Machine Gun becomes a heavy projectile that weakens targets on impact. One in four heavy projectiles flee targets on impact.
• winter bite: This Heavy Exotic Stasis Glaive fires a large ball of energy that locks and freezes nearby targets.
• Cyrtarachne’s facade: After grappling, this exotic helm provides additional protection as hunters gain body armor and flinch resistance.
• Floating Jump: When Titans use their Barricade, it grants its wielder additional armor and spawns two additional Seeking Projectiles that aggressively pursue targets, suspending them.
• fanatic: This new Exotic Leg Armor allows Warlocks to create Threadlings that infest and attack enemies after destroying a Tangle.

Each of these brings something unique to the table, and we can’t wait to see how you mix and match them.

Neomuna Nights

A hidden neon metropolis like you’ve never seen before destiny 2, Neomuna is where the story of Lightfall begins and where you fight the Shadow Legion and face towering tormentors. To save humanity you must team up with Cloud Striders and push back the Shadow Legion as they ravage Neomuna.

New Activity: Terminal Congestion

The Shadow Legion and the Vex launch an all-out assault on the city. Put an end to their destruction in this new public activity on Neptune. Team up with other Guardians and stop Vex from opening Vex Portals to flood Neomuna with her powers. Sound easy? Think again, as the Shadow Legion strike teams are attempting to claim these portals for themselves. You will need all the help you can get to fight off both factions and defend Neomuna.

Season of Defiance

The story of Lightfall continues in Season of Defiance. The Vanguard calls out to their closest allies. The Warden must master the righteous powers of the Awakened to hold their own against the invading Shadow Legion and prove themselves as Queensguard.

New Activity: Defiant Battlegrounds

Guardians will traverse the EDZ, the Cosmodrome, and a Shadow Legion prison ship in search of Pyramid outposts. They must use the seasonal artifact to rip a portal to the Ascendant Planes, repel the Taken and the Shadow Legion, find missing prisoners, and prepare a ritual that will allow the Techeuns to open a gateway to safety.

Defiance Drop

You know we had to be right with tools to defy the odds. Throughout the season we have new legendary armor and weapons up for grabs, along with Verglas Curve, a new exotic bow. After each final blow, charge your bow with Ice Arrows and launch them to create stasis shards and freeze nearby targets. Crash the party and break the ice by grabbing the Season Pass to instantly unlock the daring new weapon.

A little competition never hurt anyone. Team up with other Guardians and show the other classes why yours is the most dominant during the annual Guardian Games event later this season.
