Note that Apple just raised iMac prices in the UK, so these savings are better than ever (at least on paper).
- Amazon, 24-inch iMac M1, 7-core GPU: £1,137 (£112 off original price of £1,249, now £1,399, so saving is £262).
- Amazon, 24-inch iMac M1, 8-core GPU, 512GB SSD: £1,479.97. That’s £170 off the original price of £1,649, but Apple just put prices up to £1,799 for this model, so the saving is even bigger!

What do you want to know
In April 2021, Apple announced the 24-inch iMac which comes in a collection of seven different colors and is powered by Apple’s M1 chip. Read our 2021 24-inch iMac review. Rather than update the 27-inch iMac, Apple discontinued it in March 2022. This may not be the last we see of the biggest iMac: read the discontinued 27-inch iMac, but not necessarily death and rumors about the new iMac Pro.
At launch, iMac models cost the following, but as you’ll see UK prices are now considerably higher.

Where to buy an iMac
You can buy an iMac directly from Apple in the US or from Apple UK, but many Apple Premium stores and resellers around the world offer discounts on new and old Macs. Some Mac retailers offer deep discounts on Apple products and Apple accessories, so you should be able to save a few hundred pounds on certain iMac configurations.
Beware, however. The Mac listed by the retailer may be an older model than the one Apple currently sells. We’ve seen resellers advertise Macs with money based on the price at which they were previously sold by Apple, even after Apple started selling a newer Mac at the same price. So be sure to check the age and specs of the machine being sold, and don’t automatically assume it’s up to date.
To get an idea of what the old model should be worth, take a look at Apple’s refurbished store to see what Apple is selling the old version for (and remember that buying from Apple, even if refurbished, means you get full year warranty).

Best Refurbished iMac Deals
One of the best places to look for year-round iMac deals is the refurbished Apple Store. You’ll find huge iMac discounts there, sometimes even on the latest models. These iMacs were returned to Apple for various reasons, then completely redesigned and ready for resale. One of the biggest benefits of buying a refurbished Mac from Apple is that it will come with a one-year warranty so Apple can repair or replace it for free if anything should happen to it. during this first year.
You won’t be able to tell the difference between a refurbished iMac and a brand new iMac, other than the box it comes in, which is white to prevent people from buying them and trying to sell them as new. Learn more about buying a refurbished iMac here.
