The Sims 4: Grow together is a highly anticipated expansion that focuses on the baby and infant portion of a Sim’s lifespan. Until now, babies have been bundles moving from a parent’s arms to their bassinet. grow together fleshes out the baby and infant stages of a Sim’s life and gives parents a little more choice in raising their child. A new addition is a science baby that opens the door to parenthood for many more Sims.
Electronic Arts unveiled the Science Baby feature during a grow together Preview where Polygon learned about the expansion’s new milestone systems and Sim Babies’ behaviors. If your Sim isn’t in a romantic relationship, you can still have a baby with the power of science. Science Babies are created in the hospital using your Sim’s and another host’s genetic material.
Again, a romantic relationship isn’t necessary to create a science baby; You just have to be friends with the other host and ask them to contribute. Before grow together, Sims would need to get pregnant via WooHoo and/or adjust their Sim’s gender options to be able to impregnate other Sims or be impregnated by them; Sims can also adopt through an agency. Science Babies are another option for those looking to personalize their family or bond with a friend.
Toddlers come in The Sims 4 on March 14th in a free update available to all players. grow together will be released on March 16th and will contain lifetime milestones, more complex Sim relationships and many new items. The expansion aims to expand life milestones for more than just children, adding new complexities to relationship dynamics.
