Forever Entertainment announced today that they have been busy working on Front Mission 2: Remake and game fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the sequel. The turn-based strategy game launches on Nintendo Switch on Monday, June 12, and will be the first time Front Mission 2 has launched outside of Japan. Forever Entertainment, which has revitalized a series of classic video games for modern formats, said that Front Mission 2 Remake will be a faithful remake of the second game in the series. Here are all the details:
FRONT MISSION 2: Remake preserves the mature story, strategic turn-based combat, and customization options of the Wanzer original. Enjoy a revitalized classic with updated visuals and new features and improvements! It’s been 12 years since the second Huffman conflict. The impoverished People’s Republic of Alordesh has been suffering a severe economic downturn since the war ended. In June 2102, the soldiers of the Alordesh army rise up and, led by Venom Mackarage, declare independence from the OCU (Oceania Cooperative Union).
Ash, an OCU soldier, manages to survive the ensuing battle, but Alordesh is completely overrun by the Revolutionary Army. Ash and his surviving teammates infiltrate Alordesh’s chaotic underground in an attempt to escape the country. However, they soon discover that there is a huge conspiracy behind the coup. In FRONT MISSION 2, the perspective shifts between the three characters: Ash, Lisa and Thomas, creating a worldview that goes beyond a simple dichotomy between good and evil.
